Miami Super Bowl Prayer Shield

Posted in: Archived news

Having the Super Bowl in our own backyard of Miami is fantastic but we also know that the excitement of having such a large sports event will bring many individuals, juveniles and adults to Miami to be exploited in the sex industry. Florida is the second largest hub of human trafficking in the U.S., and we know that “large sporting events, conventions and other such gatherings are closely tied to a spike in demand for commercial sex and, in turn, for sex trafficking (*Human trafficking service provider, Polaris Project).
We are calling ALL INTERCESSORS to cover in Intercession the individuals/agencies (Florida Coalition Against Human Trafficking, KLASS KIDS, Global Child Rescue, Kristi House, Free International, Miami Police Department, and other law enforcement agencies) that will be conducting outreach to hotels and business owners that may come in contact with victims of commercial sexual exploitation and to conduct street outreach to minors located in areas known for commercial sexual exploitation during the week of the Super Bowl.
Our mission is to create a prayer shield for the individuals/agencies who will be identifying and assisting in the rescue and recovery of juvenile or adult victims of sex trafficking.
Whether you can physically join us during the 48 hours of non-stop Worship, Intercession and equipping at the I.H.O.P Miami location or if you can join with your prayer teams wherever you are, please partner with us this weekend!

The Prayer Room opens at 6:00 am on Friday, February 5th and will continue until 6:00 am on Sunday, February 7th. There will also be a special training session on Human Trafficking in Florida on Saturday, February 6th at 10:00am
in the prayer room, 8000 NW 25th Street, Doral, FL. 33122 (Near Miami International airport).
