Marcos serves Florida Abolitionist as the Demand Prevention Coordinator. He is uniquely suited to the role because he knows all too well the dark realities of shame, guilt, depression, pain, and loss. Marcos was sexually molested at the age of 6 and struggled with porn addiction for 15 years. During this time, he fell prey to an online sextortion scam that was extremely traumatizing and resulted in the loss of his engagement. Marcos understands the dynamics of sexual addiction that keeps people in bondage but has also learned how to find freedom, healing and restoration.
By the grace of God, Marcos has walked in freedom from unwanted sexual behavior since February 2015 and is now devoted to helping other men find the same freedom. He knows that by helping men overcome their addictions, they will no longer be willing participants in the sexual exploitation of human trafficking victims.
Marcos holds an AA degree in Business Administration and is currently pursuing a double major in Psychology and Ministry degrees at Palm Beach Atlantic University. He is a licensed real estate professional by trade. When he’s not closing real estate deals, or working with nonprofits, he’s leading small groups for the men’s ministry at Church In The Son, helping men implement a battle plan in the fight for sexual purity.
Marcos would love to speak to your class, group, or business to address the harms of pornography addiction and help those who are struggling break free. Please contact him via email with questions or invitations.
